Another year, another birthday…

I recently celebrated my 26th birthday.

I had a wonderful birthday weekend, which coincided with a bank holiday (bonus). On Friday my boyfriend cooked me a gorgeous dinner and gave me tickets to see Once the musical next week. I cannot tell you how excited I am about this!! I’ve loved the film for years, so I am fully expecting to  be weeping away to the beautiful songs when we go to see it on the stage.

On Saturday I had a lovely birthday dinner with my friends, and it was such a good night. We went to Petek in Finsbury Park (which is amazing by the way). If you live in London you have to check it out. The food is delicious.

I noticed that in the days leading up to my birthday, I barely even cared that it was coming up. There was a time when I would count down the days to my birthday and go a little crazy in anticipation. I don’t feel like that at all anymore, but for me, the best thing about it all is seeing friends and family, and I got to do plenty of that this year.

I had such a great birthday and feel so lucky to have such lovely people in my life!

In book news, we are busy preparing for the launch of Three Little Words in paperback in the UK on August 15. I am so excited about this. I have plenty planned for the launch itself, including some competition related stuff so keep an eye out for it.

Book three is going through the editing phase and all is going well. Soon I will be thinking about book four…

May was International Chick Lit Month. I was featured on the website with ‘a letter to my unpublished self’. Check it out here if you haven’t already.

Keep checking out the latest updates on my Twitter and Facebook page for Three Little Words competition information, which will be coming up soon!
